It isn't possible for a modem to obstruct or block ports, is it? I guess port forwarding doesn't like me.

If the modem is also a router, yes. The ISP may also block ports but they usually don't mess with game ports as far as I know.

I have just found the most retarded fix ever for a GFX problem.

So basically, when i first got my computer the drivers for my video card would cause my screen to go all crazy whenever I started playing a video game - I could not see anything, but the graphics card was still outputting correctly(as the screen shots came out correct). I upgraded my drivers and didn't think more of it. When I got my 2nd video card, I upgraded my drivers and the problem came back. Of course, that means that this was still a problem with Win7, except that it would also happen at random times when I wasn't doing anything 3D(related probably to the Aero feature of Win7)

I was about to go on Newegg and find a cheap new video card, but searched Google one last time.

Apparently the solution to the problem is to increase the clock speed on my video cards. :problem:

H264 .mov conversion to, say, .avi.

I found this little free thing. Agent, any other suggestions for utilities?

If my video card can handle this:

at a steady 62 fps, then shouldn't I be able to get more then 20 in a battle in TF2? This has to be cpu related, correct?

Are you using multicore in-game for TF2? Have you tried disabling it?

Also, many months ago, there was a thread on the Steam forum regarding FPS. Someone mention a file that was being constantly updating while playing TF2 and this was causing low FPS. What the person did to fix the issue was to ask its anti-virus to exclude the Steam/TF2 folders from real-time monitoring and this solved his FPS problem.

You could try this. Also, I know when we were trying to fix Borderlands hosting that you had more than one firewall or something. Make sure you only use one firewall and one anti-virus. Nothing more.

What do you guys think about this card for me...I was going to give my 2 or 3 year old 8600 something or other to the Igoo (well actually exchange it for the $20 I owe him...) His current card is failing, and he wants to be able to play this new RUSE game with his dad.

Is this a decent card, or should I spend $85 more for the http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... R&v=glance

Opinions??

errrr....on fuzzy's computer, not fuzzy.
