I got tired of the clicking and scrolling. Ah, RTS wayfinding of the '90s. Or the lack thereof.

I need to know if StarCraft 2 is worth it. I played a ton of age of empires II and III (and still have the disks if anyone can find them for a game?). Worth a buy?

I say no.

I'd say maybe. I like it, but of course I really like strategy games.

There is a heavy incentive to play against other people. Though the SC community is the RTS version of the L4D community.

It's a good game in my opinion. Though if you really want to play SC check out the first if you can and see how much you like it before seeing about SC2.

I think that's my biggest issue with RTS. I can't deal with multiplayer in those games anymore, it's too much work. I need something more relaxing these days.

I have been playing a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment expansion. It's a giant turtle fest, and combines my favorite parts about RTS. Base(read: impenetrable fortress) building, and gratuitously huge battles. Of course, at that point, the definition of RTS seems to be moot.

Really? We should play versus crazy AI! It's been a few months since I played but I should still know my way around. I loved winning by war propaganda in that game.

Another thing about SC is that the beginnings of matches are filled with super aggressive rushes.

That's right I'm talking KEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEZERGLINGRUSHKEKEKEKEKEKEKEKE.
And also FOR AIUR ZEALOT RUSH.

You can also rush as terran but it's harder since they don't have turrets that can shoot ground units and the other races do. Though I've seen SCV rushes work which scares me.

Same for SC2 ?

And terrans have bunkers though they require marines. (SC1 anyway)
